Glock 45 Gen6 OR FS 9mm Luger
The sixth generation of GLOCK pistols tells a story of ergonomics.
With the 6th generation, GLOCK is launching a completely redesigned pistol platform in 2026. The focus is on ergonomics, optical preparation, and a flat trigger—without compromising the renowned reliability and Safe Action System.
Palm Swell: The grip is now more contoured and rounded to better fit the natural curve of the hand. This provides noticeably improved grip and greater control – a significant difference that is particularly noticeable during rapid firing sequences.
RTF6 Grip Texture: The new RTF6 (Rough Textured Frame) texture combines two different surface textures to offer an optimal compromise between grip and comfort. It now extends over a larger area, including the enlarged thumb rest, which serves as a defined index point.
Extended Beavertail and Undercut: The enlarged beavertail at the rear of the grip and the pronounced undercut on the trigger guard allow for a higher grip on the weapon. This reduces perceived recoil and makes it easier to quickly return to the target.
Extended thumb rest: The Gen 6 features a textured and extended thumb rest on both sides of the grip. This serves as a defined index point and allows the shooter to control the weapon more precisely through targeted pressure and reduce muzzle flip when firing.
Flat Faced Trigger: The Gen 6 comes standard with a flat faced trigger. This design allows for more consistent finger placement and more linear trigger control.
Reduced Trigger Reach: The trigger has been positioned slightly closer to the grip, which is particularly beneficial for shooters with smaller hands and provides better ergonomics.
The Gen 5's Modular Optic System (MOS) is replaced by the new Gen6 Optic Ready System.
- Direct mounting: The new system features deeper milling in the receiver. This allows the red dot sight to be screwed directly onto the receiver using three polymer adapter plates supplied, with the plates acting as a precise seal and washer.
- Adaptability and durability: The design allows for the mounting of common footprints (such as RMR and DeltaPoint Pro), ensures an extremely low profile, and increases the overall stability of the system.
Improved serrations: The loading serrations on the bolt have also been redesigned: The deeper-angled serrations provide a more tactile surface and thus improved handling of the bolt, even under adverse conditions.
