KEILER GEAR Silencer Cover
For hunting purposes, we wanted to develop a lightweight, versatile cover for silencers that would sit firmly on the silencer and yet be easy to assemble. At the same time, the cover should also be able to be used as a fore-end support.
The hunted silencer cover is therefore simply wrapped around the silencer or the fore-end and fixed with three flexible straps. These are pulled over the buttons sewn on the side. The cover can therefore be assembled / disassembled in <30 seconds.
One side consists of 500D Cordura, which was manufactured according to the Bundeswehr TL in Germany. The other consists of mountain loden from German production. Due to the flexible attachment, the cover has no inside / outside and can therefore always be installed with the desired side facing out.
The cover should be installed in such a way that the overlapping layers are arranged on the top, so the cover also fulfills the function of a flicker band and significantly reduces the mirage effect.
The silencer cover significantly reduces the surface temperature of the damper. In our test series, immediately after shooting, we measured temperature differences of 37.5 ° C between the surface of the silencer and the surface of the silencer cover.
The hunting cover is designed for a maximum of 15 shots 30-06 through the silencer. If you expect higher shot loads, we ask you to buy the official version with a heat protection insert.
Suitable for all silencers with a diameter of 40-50mm, the rubber cord simply has to be knotted a little shorter for smaller diameters.
