Features include 5x zoom, a wide field of view and parallax compensation from 10 meters. During the development of the riflescope series, special attention was paid to the extended use with night vision or thermal imaging attachments. The riflescopes are therefore particularly light and compact.
The tube of the Meopta MeoHunter R5 3-15x50 FFP RD is, as with all other Meopta riflescopes, made from a high-strength aluminum alloy. The anodized surface is extremely scratch-resistant and can withstand even the most adverse conditions. Naturally, the riflescope is nitrogen-filled, which prevents the lenses from fogging up from the inside in the event of strong temperature fluctuations.
The special water-repellent Meodrop coating repels water, dust and grease from the surface of the optical elements, maintaining a clear, brilliant image. It is based on the lotus effect. The specific microscopic layer ensures that unwanted dust or water particles do not adhere to the glass surface and roll off easily. Optical elements with the MeoDrop coating are easy to clean without leaving streaks.
The ion-supported vapor-deposited Meoshield protective coating reliably preserves the outer lens surfaces. It effectively protects the optics against scratches and mechanical stress under extreme conditions. Meoshield complies with MIL specifications for resistance and surface hardness.
